I think the social action used in this story was effective because …
They wrote an article online and posted it on NZ herald where people all over NZ could see the article. In this article, it talks about how they hold a river talk every year and so it’s free for people to attend.

The story gives ...... Tamati Patuwai       perspective on ....... Regenerating the area(river) by planting native plants. Making the river clean again for community to share.

The Glen Innes Community is taking a petition to the government about the houses getting built on the Point England reserve. They are up against Ngati Paoa who had this plan of building the 250 houses. There won’t be enough space for families to spend time together and events will no longer be hosted due to the Ngati Paoa plan.

The story gives ...... Safron Witika       perspective on ....... Cancelling the 250 house ready to be built on the Point England Reserve. So that the kids could have freedom and allow events to be happened for the children.

He / She thinks that … The Point England reserve is paradise. Building houses there is not right because the kids love playing there. It won’t be as fun as it was before.
