2016 Goals

These are some of my goals for 2016 I would love to complete them through out the year. Do you have any goals for 2016? If you do comment on this blog post please?

This year I am looking forward to be a great leader for the year 7 & 8 students and the rest of the school. I am hoping to be a good role model for the students in the school, and the students who are coming to be part of our school.

My goal is to get my reports up to a higher level, for example my maths grade on my report was in the red section, I would like to try and get up to a good standards on my reports.

Through out the year I would like to meet and greet new students and teachers to our school. I would like to make a lot of new friends with little kids and the older kids.

During The Holidays 2016

Throughout the holidays me, my sisters and my cousins got to go to youth pride at the Tamaki Rec center.

On the very first day we had to stand up and introduce ourself, you had to say your name and what you got for Christmas. When everybody finish saying their names and what they got for Christmas we got numbered 1-4. After that we had to make a team chant up and a team name, my team name was O.T.G it stands for out the gate. Then we got to challenge different people at volleyball, my team was coming in first place for while.

During the holidays more people started to come and it was even better because we got to vs more people at games. When people kept coming in our team we had to show them our chants. On Friday 22nd some people from west Auckland are coming to the Tamaki Rec center to have a sports day with us. It is going to be awesome because we get to meet new people and new friends. On the last week we will be going to the pools in Panmure for the day.

2016 Leadership Role

 

At the 2015 Point England senior prize giving, the year 5-8 students got to thank the prefects and the house captains for all of their help, leadership and support through out the year. The year 8 students for 2016 has taken leadership and encouragement from the year 8 student in 2015.

Firstly Mr Burt called the 2015 prefects and the 2015 house captains to come on the stage. First Mr Burt called the 2016 prefects names out and they were "Khaia, Ariana, Marilyn and Elizabeth G" then he called out the boys names. They were "Collin, Jordan, Johnlee and Tevita. Everybody started cheering for them and clapping for them.

Next Mr Burt announced the 2016 house captains first up were Hokulea there leaders we Sateki and Rowana. Next was Hinemoana their leaders were Promise and Elizabeth U. Then it was Hikianalia their house captains were Taunese and Temauri and last of all Was Te Aurere their house captains were Ashley and Matiu. When I heard my name to be called out I was so excited to be a house captain.

Through out 2016 my goal is to communicate with my partner another goal is to be confident during everything and to get better at writing, reading and maths. In 2016 I will be a good role model for everything and I will try my best to be a great house captain.

Leadership Club 2015 Superwoman

This movie was created by the wonderful students in the leadership club.

On the first day of leadership club people were coming around and collecting students from each class. When we all got pulled out of class we thought we were going to get in trouble, but then it was a club for students to understand how to be a leader for students. This leadership club was every Tuesday after morning tea.

On the last day we had a very fun time watching this movie while eating pizza and popcorn. After that we got  our leadership awards it was a very fun time learning.
