Winter Learning Journey D7 A1

If I were asked to compete in a tandem cycling event I would pick Emma Foy to compete with me, because she would be great, supportive and encouraging even if she is blind she would be still giving it 100%. She would be an awesome teammate by  helping me out and helping other people out.

  1. Hi Ashley,

I am sure that Emma would be an excellent teammate. As you say, she would likely want to help you and others out and she would also be very familiar with the sport. She could probably teach you quite a bit about how to ride a tandem bicycle. (They're actually quite a bit harder than they look!)

I would imagine that Emma could also teach you a lot about what life is like for someone who can not see. I think that she is very brave to have embraced cycling. I'm not sure that I would have had the ability or strength of character to hop on a bike if I couldn't see very well. I really admire that about her!

I also admire your dedication and hard work this holiday. You have done a wonderful job with the Winter Learning Journey programme. I really hope that you will keep blogging over the rest of the break and into Term III. I will look forward to seeing you when I come into Pt England next term to hand out certificates and prizes to our 'Top 3' bloggers.

    Keep up the great work!

    Cheers, Rachel:)
